Being a partner in your child’s education is as easy as A, B, C.
A. Be involved. Know what your child is studying. Attend parent meetings and workshops.
B. Don’t be a “wonderer”--wondering what is going on or wondering why something is happening. Call. Ask a question, express a concern, suggest a solution or share an idea. Parents and students can reach my voicemail at school through 724.239.3606 ext. 3398. I will promise to return all calls as soon as possible... I can also receive an e-mail any time at
mailto:[email protected].C. Understand that parental involvement is critical. Please reinforce all skills taught each day with your child.
Many students are seen on a weekly basis and no problem or concern is considered too small. Some students obtain a “GUIDANCE PASS” that enables them to come to the office, for a few minutes, whenever they feel a need to calm down or refocus. Students feeling comfortable with themselves and developing adequate coping behaviors can insure school success.
